In 2012, Fortune Magazine named Mayer as the 14th ranked most powerful businesswoman in America. Forbes Magazine ranked Mayer 32nd on their list of The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women. She was also the first woman to be ranked 1st in Fortune Magazine’s top 40 business stars under 40 years old. Glamour Magazine recognized Mayer as one of their Women of the Year in 2009. Time Magazine listed Mayer in Time 100 in 2013. Mayer also became the first CEO of a Fortune 500 company to receive a spread in Vogue Magazine. She has been Mayer oversaw Yahoo!’s acquisition of Tumblr for 1.1 billion dollars. Mayer sits on several boards. She sits on for-profit boards including Walmart, Jawbone and Yahoo!. Mayer also sits on several not-for-profit boards including Cooper-Hewitt, New York City Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
