Evelyn de Rothschild was born on August 29, 1931 to Anthony Gustav de Rothschild and Yvonne Cahen d’Anvers. He grew up during World War II in the U.S. while raised in a wealthy and influential family. He attended Harrow School before enrolling at Trinity College of Cambridge University to study history, although he dropped out before earning a degree. Early on in his life, Rothschild married Jeannette Bishop, Sir Stanley Hooker’s niece, but divorced in 1971. He then attempted marriage for a second time, marrying Victoria Lou Schott in 1973. The couple had three children together, but the marriage ended in divorce in 2000. Rothschild married again in 2000 to an American lawyer, Lynn Forester, with whom he is still married. Forester has two children of her own from a previous marriage. The couple were invited to spend their honeymoon in the White House, which they accepted.
