Vin Diesel was born July 18, 1967 as Mark Sinclair to Delora Sherleen Sinclair and an absent father he has never met. His ethnicity is often debated. His astrologer mother married Irving H. Vincent an acting instructor. At the age of 7, Vin Diesel and some friends broke into Theater for the New City to vandalize it.
When confronted, instead of calling the police, the director handed them scripts and offered each of the boys parts in the play Dinosaur Door. This lead to his involvement in the theater all through his teenage years. He’s in a long-term relationship with Paloma Jimenez and the couple has two children together.
Vin Diesel broke into the spotlight in a few films he directed and starred in himself. One was selected for a screening at the Cannes Film Festival in 1995. Another film he produced, wrote and directed called Strays was shown at the Sundance Festival in 1997 and lead to his performance in Saving Private Ryan. His role in Pitch Black in 2000 propelled him into the spotlight. It led to his most well-known films; The Fast and the Furious and xXx.
