Patti Stanger, best known for her television personality as the star and producer of “The Millionaire Matchmaker”, was born on May 31, 1961 in Short Hills, New Jersey. She was adopted and raised in the Jewish faith. She graduated from Milburn High School in 1979 and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1983 from the University of Miami. She had a long-time relationship with Andy Friedman, a real estate executive, from 2003-2010 and is currently engaged to David Krause, baseball player turned mortgage broker, since 2012.
Stanger is a third generation matchmaker. She began her career in fashion, introduced to the industry by Janis Spindel who hired her at the age of 24 as her assistant. She worked for ten years in the fashion industry at Unionbay, JouJou Jeans and Saks Fifth Avenue. Prior to founding her business in 2000, she worked as the Director of Marketing for Great Expectations.
In 2000, Stanger felt that there should be an exclusive dating arena that was exclusive to Millionaire males. She felt that there should be a private venue for men of this caliber to come and find beautiful and intelligent women that could become possible wives. she founded and is the CEO of Millionaire’s club International, Inc.
Besides being a successful entrepreneur with her Matchmaking Show, now in its sixth season, she wrote her first book on dating, published in 2009. It is entitled, appropriately, “Become Your Own Matchmaker: 8 Easy Steps for Attracting Your Perfect Mate. At 52, Patti Stanger has an estimated net worth of $5 million.
