Master P, born Percy Robert Miller, is a rapper, actor, investor and entrepreneur. He was also a professional basketball player for a short while. He is best known for being the founder of No Limit Records, one of the most profitable hip hop record labels during the 1990s. He is also the CEO of P. Miller Enterprises, an entertainment and financial company. He began his rap career as a member of the group TRU. However, his solo career was just as successful, scoring huge hits in the 1990s such as “Make ‘Em Say Uhh!” His most successful rap album was 1998’s “Da Last Don,” which went platinum four times. Master P is considered to be one of the pioneers of southern hip hop and one of the first people to put southern styles of rap onto the mainstream radar.
He is among the richest rappers in the world thanks to his very diversified earnings and his vast variety of money-making businesses and investments. He owns several rap labels, a clothing line, a high-end travel agency, video game company, film production company, and a highly successful artist management firm. Master P also sees money from the careers of his children, his son rapper Lil Romeo and daughterCymphonique Miller, who is a singer. He has also had success as an actor, most notably for his role as the father in the Nickelodeon children’s sitcom “Romeo!”
Master P is currently worth about $350 million. Even though he does not have much of an active rap career these days, he continues to make enough money with all of his other ventures to be a constant fixture in the top five of each year’s lists of wealthiest rappers, 2013 included.
