Bryan “Baby” Williams, better known as “Birdman”, is the founder and current CEO of Cash Money Records. Born on February 15th, 1969 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Birdman started Cash Money Records with his brother Ronald “Slim” Williams in 1991. The record label is currently a subsidiary of Universal Music Group and hosts some of the world’s most popular hip hop acts such as Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, DJ Khaled, and Drake. Birdman has two children; Bryan Williams Jr., born on February 26, 1997 and Bria Williams born on March 4, 1998.
Birdman has reached multi-platinum successes as a producer, helping launch the careers for some of Hip Hop’s leading artists like Mystikal, Lil Wayne, Juvenile. His song, “#1 Stunna” was nominated for two grammies back in 2000 when he was with producer Mannie Fresh as a part of the rap duo, Big Tymers. Birdman continues to be one of the most influential hip hop producers and entrepreneurs in the industry. Since his breakup from the Big Tymers duo, Birdman has successfully managed to capitalize off the talent of his protege, Lil Wayne and subsequently help establish YMCMB, Young Money Cash Money Billionaires which features leading acts such as Nicki Minaj and Drake.
According to Forbes Magazine, Birdman is worth an estimated $150 million in 2013. Birdman also has ventured into the oil business. Birdman and his brother, Ronald, formed Bronald Oil and Gas, LLC in 2010. However, there is little evidence that the brothers have been successful in this venture.
