Born November 17, 1972 in New York, New York, Aviva Drescher is best known for her role in Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City. Married to Reid Drescher, she and her husband have four children: Harrison, Veronica, Hudson, and Sienna. Harrison is Aviva’s son from a previous marriage and Veronica is Reid’s daughter, also from a previous marriage. Reid Drescher is President and CEO of Cape One Financial Advisors as well as Spencer Clark, an investment bank. He’s also the cousin of actress Fran Drescher.
Aviva Drescher is the only cast member of The Real Housewives of New York City to be born and raised in New York City. At just six years old, Drescher was the victim of a farm accident which caused her to lose her left leg. She now wears a prosthetic leg and recently authored a memoir entitled Leggy Blonde which chronicles her childhood experiences, her struggles with panic disorder, and recent life as a reality television star. Drescher has a master’s degree in French Literature from New York University and a law degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She’s also an active philanthropist working with multiple charities, including The One Step Ahead Foundation which helps child amputees afford prosthetic limbs, The Cancer Schmancer Movement, Trash Cancer, So Gay So What, and Live4Life.
